Intro:

Your ship has been damaged from a rogue asteroid and you have landed where it has detected metal that could be used to repair the ship. Unfortunately it did not detect the nocturnal life living beneath the surface. And these are not friendly, nor unintelligent beings. They even have portal technology to bring themselves to the surface. The only thing holding them back is your protective barrier, and your turrets. They cannot spawn inside your protective barrier, but there is a space just outside of that barrier that they can spawn, and they are using it to their advantage.

Gameplay notes:

* You are weak. You have no armour or weapons, only a "Forge" ship that can build turrets (and other buildings that I didn't manage to get in the game jam). If you get hit by an alien, a spawning portals destruction wave, or an exploding turret, you will die. Signified with a final scream (if the sound system on Godot is working properly at the time)
* When a portal spawns, it will damage anything within 8 meters of it. That means you and your turrets. They will lose a significant amount of health.
* When a turret blows up, it will damage anything within 3 meters of it, so don't build your turrets too close to each other; or do; it's up to you.
* Turrets are the only thing that can destroy existing portals. If you don't destroy all the portals that spawn, the next time more spawn, the enemies will also come out of those you did not destroy previously.
* It is possible to get so many enemies that the game lags (massive fps drop). I have tried to balance it that you will die before that happens, but I haven't had that much time to balance it.
* There are probably several bugs. I haven't had many play-testers unfortunately.
* This game is heavy on the mechanics and light on the graphics/sound/polish due to being a solo developer of it and not being able to dedicate as much time as I would have liked.
* Outside the barrier is radiation. That's why you have a protective barrier. If you walk outside the barrier, you will die, and likely see the edges of the map.

Things I didn't get finished:

* Models for forest, player, enemies (they are supposed to be little skittering aliens), portal, turret. And all the stuff in there is "programmer with not a lot of time to do art" art.
* Intro narration to explain what has happened. Why did you land? What is attacking you. What you must do to survive and leave. (Well, you can't even leave right now). I have added this to the description above.
* Win condition. You were going to have to collect metal to repair the ship so you could leave. I didn't even get the metal in.
* Other buildings. Plans were stone turret, fencing.
* Other enemies. Something stronger and maybe slower.
* Other resources. Metal to repair ship.
* Ground texturing. I'm sure you prefer the Godot logo all over the ground though. And it is green, like grass, so I am going to leave it.

Apparently it is not obvious that you need to take the resource back to the forge in order to build turrets, so do that too :
